Hi, I’m Bevan.
I’m a psychotherapist and yoga teacher with a deep passion for healing, transformation, and the ongoing journey of understanding what it means to be human. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Acting, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, and a Master’s in Psychotherapy.
My own path into this work began in my twenties, after a difficult breakup. I found myself asking, why do I keep ending up in the same place? That curiosity led me into therapy, where I began to explore the patterns that shaped my relationships and the stories I carried. Years later, through couples therapy with my wife, I learned how to truly hold a relationship, to rebuild and reimagine the foundation of the partnership I had always longed for.
Since then, curiosity has been my compass. Life, for me, is about understanding ourselves, each other, and the ways we move through the world. In my work, I come from that same place: help me understand you, so that I can hold a mirror up and help you see yourself more clearly.
Yoga has been a constant thread throughout my life. I’ve been practicing for over 17 years and teaching for 10. Its discipline, philosophy, and embodiment practices have grounded me, allowing for deeper presence, awareness, and compassion toward myself and others.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as an actor. That time gave me a profound understanding of the human condition, of emotion, desire, and the many roles we play in search of connection and belonging. Stepping into so many different characters helped me see that every person’s story makes sense when we understand the deeper reasons behind their choices.
My intention in therapy is not to create quick fixes that unravel after a few months. I want to support you in living a life that feels aligned with your highest self, the person you know you can be when you’re fully connected, grounded, and whole.
What matters most to me is the relationship we build together. I want you to feel safe enough to bring everything into the room, the shame, the confusion, the laughter, the grief, and know that you will never be judged. This space is your home, a container for truth, healing, and growth.
My studies in psychotherapy have drawn from many traditions and teachers that have shaped my work, including:
• Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
• Gestalt Therapy
• Gabor Maté’s Compassionate Inquiry
• Esther Perel’s relational frameworks
• Internal Family Systems (IFS)
• Somatic Therapy
• Buddhist Psychology
• Couples Therapy
Together, these approaches allow me to work holistically, weaving the mind, body, and spirit into a deeper, integrated understanding of the self.
Alongside my therapy practice, my wife and I run yoga and self-connection retreats, where we create spaces that feel like home, away from the noise and rush of everyday life. These retreats are an invitation to pause, reconnect with yourself, and be reminded that you’re not alone. Everyone there is a fellow traveler on this path of life, learning, growing, and remembering kindness, both toward themselves and others.
I’m so glad you’ve decided to be here. I know that reaching out for help can be one of the hardest steps to take, but you don’t have to walk this path alone. I’m here to support you, to hold space for you, and to walk alongside you as you begin this journey of healing and transformation.
