Hi, I’m Rachel.

I’m a psychotherapist, yoga teacher, and breathwork facilitator with a deep passion for helping people connect with their bodies, navigate relationships, and live more mindful, intentional lives.

My journey into this work began at a young age. I had my first session with a psychotherapist when I was eleven years old, following my parents’ divorce. I walked out of that room feeling different—though I couldn’t quite understand why at the time. That experience sparked something in me, and I knew I wanted to offer others the same kind of transformative support I had received.

Since then, my life has been one of exploration—both internally and externally. I’ve always been deeply curious about human nature and the mind, and my passion for understanding it hasn’t just come from classrooms or textbooks. I’ve spent over 20+ years in therapy myself, sitting on the other side of the couch, learning, growing, and gaining insights that deeply inform my work. This personal journey allows me to bring a unique blend of empathy and lived experience into every session.

Yoga has also played a significant role in my path. I started practicing at 15 and quickly realised it was more than just a physical discipline—it was a way to connect to myself on a deeper level. Now, with over eight years of teaching experience in some of Sydney’s leading studios, I’ve learned to integrate yoga’s mindfulness and somatic awareness into my therapeutic practice. The combination of body and mind has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my work, whether in therapy, breathwork sessions, or while leading international yoga retreats.

My intention for therapy is not to make you happy (sorry to break it to you). Happiness is beautiful but fleeting. Instead, I want my clients to walk away with a greater awareness of who they are and how they can take action to be the person they want to be. I help my clients foster nourishing relationships, becomes friends with their inner monologue, and connect to their higher self so that they can move through their life based on intuition and wisdom.

What is most important to me for effective therapy is the relationship between the therapist and the client. I work to build rapport and trust with my clients so that we can build a safe container to get vulnerable. I see the process not as the therapist telling the client what to do. But rather, two people in the car together navigating their way through the client’s inner world. You will drive the car and I have the map.

Over the years, I have trained extensively in psychotherapy, earning my qualifications while focusing on approaches like somatic therapy, internal family systems, and Gestalt therapy. My goal has always been to integrate these therapeutic modalities with ancient wisdom, which is what led me to yoga teaching and breathwork facilitation. Combining these powerful practices has allowed me to help others not just with their minds, but with their entire beings—mind, body, and soul.

I’ve been fortunate enough to teach yoga for several years, guiding students through practices that emphasise stillness, breath, and deep inner connection. I’ve also had the privilege of running conscious relationship workshops, where couples and individuals learn to cultivate more authentic, compassionate communication. My work in breathwork facilitation is one of the most transformative tools I’ve found, helping clients release old patterns and emotions stored in their bodies.
