The Journey In
Yoga Retreat
30th May - 4th June 2026
Yoga is the journey of the Self,
Through the Self,
To the Self.
- Bhagavad Gita
The Offering
You are invited to step into a sacred portal of awakening and self-discovery — a journey home to your body, your truth, and your deepest peace.
Nestled amidst the lush rice terraces and gentle hum of Bali’s jungles, this six-day immersion offers a sanctuary for slowing down and tuning in. Here, beneath the tropical sun and the rhythm of nature, we remember what it means to be.
Allow Rachel & Bevan Pfeiffer to guide you through a holistic experience that weaves together ancient Yogic teachings, somatic practices, and modern psychotherapeutic wisdom. Each day unfolds with intentional rhythm — fiery morning practices to awaken your energy, restorative evening sessions to soothe your nervous system, and guided workshops to deepen your relationship with Self.
We’ll nourish your body with vibrant, healing meals prepared from fresh local produce, designed to replenish and energise. You’ll be held in community — a web of like-minded souls who, like you, are seeking to live with more presence, purpose, and connection.
Through Yoga, breathwork, meditation, and reflective inner work, you’ll unravel the layers of who you think you are, discovering new depths of awareness, aliveness, and authenticity.
This is your invitation to soften. To listen. To remember.
To take the journey in.

What to Expect
Morning Vinyasa
Each morning we will join together for a 90-minute open Vinyasa. Here we will explore intelligent sequencing designed to improve your alignment, build strength and create more mobility in your body. Rachel and Bevan will alternate teaching each day with the other walking around offering hands-on assists.
Nightly Yin
Each night we will gather for a 75-minute Yin Yoga ceremony. The emphasis will be on slowing down, dropping deeper into the body and intimately dancing with stillness. Yin Yoga offers long, supported holds that work into the connective tissue of the body offering more flexibility and bodily awareness. This class is perfect for beginners or those who don’t enjoy the heat of Vinyasa. Rachel and Bevan will alternate teaching each day with the other walking around offering hands-on massage and energetic assists.
Arm Balance & Inversions Workshop
If you know Bevan’s practice, you know he loves spending time in strong asanas. This two-hour workshop will break down the mechanics of how to achieve and master some of the more advanced asanas (handstand, forearm stand, crow, etc). He will also teach you movement drills to build strength, mind-body connection and confidence when moving into more challenging postures. Here is your opportunity to ask in-depth questions and to get one-on-one attention from a deeply experienced teacher.
Rebirthing Breathwork Ceremony
In this powerful two-hour ceremony, Rachel and Bevan will guide you through the transformational practice of Rebirthing Breathwork — a conscious, connected breathing technique designed to clear emotional blockages and restore the natural flow of life force energy. Set in a safe and sacred space, this journey invites you to release what has been suppressed in the body, meet yourself beyond the mind, and access deep states of clarity, peace and renewal. Supported by music, gentle facilitation and an attuned community field, you’ll be held through the full spectrum of sensation, from release to rebirth. This is an opportunity to reconnect with your innate wholeness and remember the truth of who you are.
How We Infuse Psychotherapy
Workshops/Teachings
Awareness is power. When we know who we are and why we are the way we are, we can show up in the world from a place of conscious intention rather than automation.
Join Rachel and Bevan as they share their extensive knowledge of psychology and psychotherapy to deconstruct and examine the self. Here will we look at questions like:
In what ways have my previous experiences shaped who I am now?
Is the past still being played out in the present on an unconscious level?
Are there parts of myself that I have been denying or repressing?
What is my relationship like with myself, and how does that affect my day-to-day life?
What can my current relationships tell me about my unconscious beliefs?
We will look at psychological theories of Self, an overview of the modern mind and how we can use this knowledge to create a life worth being present for. Prepare to meet parts of yourself that may have been hiding in the shadows, connect to your inner child and Divine Self, and learn how to have a healthy relationship with your Self like you would any other in your life.
Self-Reflection circles
Knowledge is only power when we know how to act on it. Following our psychoeducation workshops, you will be led through deep self-reflection practices that include journaling, group sharing and visualisations. We will sit together in sacred circle to journey inwards to the layers of ourselves and start to unpack what we carry within us.
FAQ
Do I have to be good at Yoga?
The only way to be ‘bad’ at Yoga is to never try. As long as you know the difference between your toes and your head, this retreat is for you. People of all experiences are welcomed. Rachel and Bevan have nearly 15 years of combined experience teaching all levels of Yoga and are perfectly capable of offering you an enjoyable practice no matter what your down dog looks like.
What time does the retreat start and end?
Start: 4pm 20th May
End: 12pm 4th June
What does airport transfer entail?
We can arrange to have you picked up from the airport or if you are arriving a few days earlier, you can be picked up from your accomodation. You will also be transported from Amori to the airport if you fly out on the 1st or to alternative accomodation if you are staying in Bali.
Do I need to bring my Yoga mat?
You can if you like (I know I’m emotionally connected to my Lifeforme mat) but Amori provides mats, blocks, straps, bolsters and pillows. No need to lug that all around.
What does the payment plan entail?
You will be required to pay your $500 deposit to secure your spot. The rest of your payments will be split equally into three and the final payment will be made three weeks before the retreat. There is no fee for the payment plan.
How much do I have to participate?
This is totally up to you! Everything that is scheduled is just an offering and nothing is compulsory. If you want to attend everything, we’d love to guide you through it. If you want to just lie in the pool and read in the shala all day, joining us for Yin at night, that sounds like an incredible holiday. If you want to binge the latest season of Love is Blind in your villa all day and just join us for dinners, that’s perfect. Our invitation is for you to take what works and leave the rest.
Will I have to share accommodation?
All accommodation is shared, and we are committed to providing you with a stay that feels comfortable. We will do our best to house you with people similar in age and gender. Please let us know if there is someone you would like to share accommodation with and we will have that arranged.
What are the vaccination requirements for Bali?
Bali has recently lifted all vaccination requirements. However, we recommend being vaccinated for rabies, hepatitis and tetanus. We don’t recommend ignoring this as Rachel can testify that spending a day in a Balinese hospital after being bitten by a dog is not pleasant and being vaccinated makes instances like this a lot less stressful and expensive. Please check with your medical professional for what vaccinations are recommended when travelling to Indonesia.
What are the medical facilities like?
Amori is a thirty-minute drive from the international hospital and is partnered with a reputable dentist. As always, we advise caution when travelling overseas and believe it is worthwhile investing in travel insurance to cover you in the case of any sticky circumstances.
